The North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce has honoured their Director of the Year.

The Betty Alcorn Memorial Award was presented to Charles Elliott last night (Wednesday) at the Business After Hours Mini-Trade Show.

“Charles has been an integral part of the Chamber board for over 20 years. He is the current vice-chair and is not one to seek accolades, but you can certainly find him in the trenches getting things done at any event or task he’s involved in. His dedication and hard work to ensuring the community and business community thrive is unwavering.” said Board Chair Brad Gavan.

The Betty Alcorn Memorial Award has been presented since 1977, for director of the year and is voted on by the board for the director “having best exemplified dedication and diligence during the current year and has laboured untiringly for the good and welfare of the Chamber and community.”
