Vehicle fire on the bypass

(Photos submitted) Emergency crews were dispatched to a vehicle fire on the bypass, near Seymour Street today (Sunday).

The call came in before 4 pm.

No official word, but social media reports suggest the occupant(s) got out and that traffic was backed up at the time.

Thick black smoke could be seen from quite a distance away from the scene.
