Here we are at the end of another year, and this one has probably been my busiest of all time. I’ve actually been posting minimally over this past week to allow myself an actual break before things kick in again for the new year.

The photos I’m attaching here are a bunch taken over the past week and a half of my friends and family. Some near – some far. I’m grateful for all of them, as well as the chance to spend some quality time with my mom – Carole Farrell – which was one of the big reasons I moved back to Ontario. Over the past week, we’ve gone to 2 musicals, had a spa day, gone to the movies, and visited with some of the people we enjoy the most.

Finally, there are some photos of my boss Wendy and I. Wendy is retiring – TODAY. She will hate that I posted these photos, but as of now, she’s no longer my boss, so what can she do?! HA!  It’s hard when someone important in your life retires. I’ve only worked for Wendy for the past 2  years, but in that time, she has given me some of the greatest opportunities of my radio career – the chance to grow and expand a regional morning show across Ontario, and the opportunity to represent Rogers and our Country brand in Nashville at the CMA’s this year. I feel sad that she’s leaving, but like every great boss, she has been sure to set us up for the best possible success moving forward. I hope to one day retire like Wendy – at the top of my game and on my own terms – because quite frankly, I think I’ll be great at retirement too.

Until then…a TOAST to the OLD YOU (which pops up in my feed every year).

If you feel inspired to use the New Year to help you reset or change habits: GREAT.

AND YET…The OLD YOU has survived every terrible day, every hard thing, every awful circumstance, and every heartbreak you’ve ever felt. The OLD YOU is a FIGHTER…and THAT’S worth celebrating.

Wishing you a healthy, happy, and FABULOUS New Year…and I’ll talk to you Tuesday.
