Two people from Pennsylvania are facing charges for failing to comply with the conditions upon Entering Canada under a section of the Quarantine Act.

OPP say people who enter Canada from another country must quarantine for 14 days.

The 47 and 48 year old were both issued a Provincial Offence Notice with a set fine of $1000.

Three other people were educated by police.

The charges were laid in connection with an incident in Chisholm Township.

Nipissing West OPP have charged a 30 year old Sturgeon Falls woman with possession of an opioid.

Police say the charge was laid on Tuesday afternoon after police received a report of two unwanted persons at a residence in Sturgeon Falls.

Police say they discovered one of them was in possession of what is suspected to be fentanyl.
