The recovery from the COVID-19 crisis is the focus of a virtual town hall meeting this afternoon for Chamber of Commerce Members across the north, including those locally.

Premier Doug Ford and Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli will be on the Zoom session.

Fedeli is Ontario’s Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade.

Meantime, the legislature returns for its fall session today.

The Progressive Conservative government’s house leader says the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic means it will not be business as usual at Queen’s Park.

Paul Calandra says the government will be focused on the pandemic’s impact on the economy, schools and the health-care system.

He says the annual budget will be delivered on November 15th and a report on the government-declared state of emergency over the pandemic is also expected this session.
