A heat warning is in effect for the North Bay area.

Environment Canada says the temperatures will reach 28 to 30 around the region.

Daytime humidex values around 36 are expected today and tomorrow.

A slightly cooler and less humid airmass will arrive in the area late Tuesday.

Officials say extreme heat affects everyone.

They suggest: –
– Drinking plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place
– Check on older family, friends and neighbours. Make sure they are cool and drinking water
– Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
