Premier Doug Ford says testing protocols for COVID-19 have been expanded and anybody who feels they were exposed to the virus can be tested.

That includes local residents.

Ford says even asymptomatic people can get tested, marking a shift in previous testing practices.

He made the comments yesterday saying no one will be turned away from an assessment centre and appointments are not necessary.

Yesterday Ontario reported 460 new cases of the virus and another 25 deaths.

The Hospital website say the local Assessment Centre is in a self-contained area of the North Bay Regional Health Centre, with a separate entrance on the west side of the building.

There’s also free outdoor parking close to the entrance.

They centre is open 9 am to 5 pm, every day of the week.
