A 34 year old Quebec man is facing several drug related charges after an incident last Friday in Sturgeon Falls.
Police say after they received a traffic complaint they stopped a vehicle around the noon hour and seized a quantity of drugs suspected to be fentanyl, hydromorphone, cannabis and cocaine.

The street value of the drugs is approximately $3,500.

The charges include driving while impaired, possession and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Nipissing West OPP have charged a 48 year old with multiple counts following a domestic dispute in Field earlier this month.

The charges include five counts of spousal assault, forcible confinement, careless storage of a firearm and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order

Almaguin Highlands OPP are investigating a break, enter and theft in Joly Township last Friday.

Sometime last week, someone entered a residence and stole a chainsaw and pellet gun.

Some stats have been released on Road Safety Week by two area detachments.

Nipissing West OPP says they charged one motorist with driving while impaired by drugs, there were also 109 speeding charges, three seat belt violations, two stunt driving counts and two failing to yield violations. Meantime, the Almaguin Highlands Detachment laid 57 speeding charges, one count for failing to move over for an emergency vehicle, one seat belt violation and one driver charged with not wearing a helmet under the off road vehicle act.
