Due to COVID-19 the Ceremony of Remembrance for fallen police officers was not held this past weekend at Queen’s Park in Toronto.

In it’s place supporters played and shared Amazing Grace on social media to recognize the Ontario Police Memorial Foundation Ceremony of Remembrance.

Locally, there was a small ceremony with North Bay Police and several members of the Royal Canadian Legion Pipe Band, Branch 23 taking part.

North Bay Police has had two officers die in the line of duty, Constable Len Slater and Constable Fred Lefebvre.

Yesterday, there was a minute of silence followed by the playing of Amazing Grace.

267 officers in Ontario have made the ultimate sacrifice.
