Nipissing First Nation says essential businesses in the community are allowed to reopen today (Wed).

Officials say that’s provided they meet all public health requirements and protect the safety of the community.

Businesses were closed two weeks ago to protect the safety and well-being of all Nipissing First Nation members and to stop the spread of COVID-19.

A rigorous process is needed to receive approval to reopen, which is detailed on the First Nation’s website.

There’s also a list of businesses that were able to reopen at 9 am.
