The Maple Hill Sap Run scheduled for Sunday April 26th is a little bit different this year.

Organizer Jared Dupuis says it’s become a virtual event this year as there won’t be all the competitors lining up at the same time on event day.

Dupuis told BayToday they’ll have a lot fewer people taking part this year.

“Typically we draw about 300 people. But we had to cancel a big push because we had to shut things down around the beginning of March and we get 75 % of our signups from March into the beginning of April,” he says.

The good news is most of the early registrants will take part and they’ll do that by running or walking somewhere on event day and submitting the time and photo evidence.
