The Municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee recently presented their 2019 report to North Bay City Council.

The city rep, Adam Curran says they worked on several big issues throughout the year.

“The Para-Bus, snow removal, housing, access to water, the municipal web site and picnic tables,” Curran says.

He says the highlight was the accessibility mat at Marathon Beach in honour of Adam Miller.

Curran says the committee has representatives from staff, council and people in the accessibility community who benefit from some of the changes.

“You try your best to understand what different people are going through or how they live their lives. Having people that live that day to day brings a different perspective and hopefully it helps city staff understand that,” he says.

Curran says they’ll start working on the 2020 issues at an upcoming meeting.
