The Near North District School Board and CUPE, the union that represents Clerical, Technical, Custodial and Maintenance workers say both sides have both ratified a new collective agreement.

Board chair Jay Aspin says the union locals represent 200 permanent and casual employees at the boards 39 schools.

Catherine Taggart, Local President, CUPE 1165 says the agreement will help to ensure that young people in Near North schools will continue to receive the high-quality services that their education demands and that they themselves deserve.

Aspin says both sides were able to find common ground that will benefit students, schools and employees.
