The wintry mess continues outside with a winter storm warning for the North Bay area.

The forecast is calling for another 10-15 cm of snow today.

Environment Canada says snow, heavy at times, will continue today before tapering to flurries tonight.

By the time the system moves out, total amounts are expected between 20 and 40 cm.

Meantime, a snowfall warning continues for West Nipissing-French River, with total amounts of 15-20 cm there.

All school buses across the Nipissing, East and West Parry Sound districts are cancelled today (Feb 27th) because of the snow and road conditions.

Schools remain open.

 

Nipissing University, meantime, says they’re CLOSED today (Feb 27th) because of the weather.

All classes and activities are cancelled for the safety of students, faculty and staff.

Normal activities are expected to resume tomorrow.

The Nipissing Lakers women’s hockey game against York is still going ahead, as scheduled.

Game one of the round two playoff series starts at 7 pm at Memorial Gardens.

 

Canadore, which is on reading week, says their campuses are OPEN today.

The college is hosting the OCAA Women’s Volleyball championship starting today, with the Panthers playing Humber at 6 pm.
