North Bay City Council has passed a motion supporting a 10 year agreement for the Dionne Quints Heritage Board Inc. to manage and operate the Dionne Quints Museum.

Board chair Ed Valenti says they have lots of ideas to increase interest in the museum and an official agreement with the city will help.

“We can apply for government grants, funding and other initiatives. It also gives us the opportunity to explore what we have in artifacts,” he says.

He says the board is now officially in charge of the management of the collection and that means review everything they have and catalogue it.

“It seems to be a little vague. We need to clarify what we do have,” Valenti says.

The cost of the agreement is $1.
