About two-million students in Ontario, including those locally, don’t have class today as their teachers and other educational workers hold a coordinated province-wide strike.

The 200 block of Main East along with Sherbrooke Street from Main to McIntyre is going to be closed to traffic from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Hundreds of people expected to picket outside MPP Vic Fedeli’s office.

All four major teachers unions, representing English and French public and Catholic elementary and secondary teachers, along with educational workers are taking part.
