The next 20 years of public park network improvments in North Bay are the focus of a Parks Master Plan that is being developed by the city.
Stakeholder focus groups and public workshops will be held as a part of the project, which will develop a network of existing and required outdoor park spaces.
Officials will be gathering ideas, experiences, and information related to North Bay’s parks.
Details of the public input sessions will be announced on the city’s Facebook page (@cityofnorthbay) and website (https://www.cityofnorthbay.ca/cityhall/department/parks-recreation-and-leisure/).
There’s also an online community survey.
This survey will gather information related to personal and family use of parks for active and passive recreation purposes.
It will be used to develop a clear understanding of how parks are presently used, who is using them, and what activities should be planned when developing a visionary network over the next 20 years.

Completion of the Parks Master Plan project is expected in October 2020.
