The new permanent location for MPP Vic Fedeli’s constituency office at 219 Main St. E. has officially opened.

The move to this location was made following much damage to his previous office from the major downtown fire last month.

Fedeli says it’s taken a lot of work to set up a new office but some of his old neighbours have had much more serious problems.

“Many people who were living on the 2nd floors of these buildings are displaced. They’ve lost everything. They’ve lost their homes. We lost files, they’ve lost their homes, Fedeli says.

He says his office is all digital now. He also thanked the firefighters for the efforts in dealing with the fire.(photo below taken by Fedeli)

Fedeli also released his winter report for Nipissing.

It outlines the various projects in Nipissing that have been announced by Fedeli in the past year.

He says the government has invested $200 million in his riding.

Meantime, he says the government is committed to changing the ministry from Northern Development to Transportation that is responsible for Ontario Northland.

“Both ministers involved have been working very hard at having this happen. Ontario Northland wants this to happen, the unions want it to happen, the mayors, the councillors, the first nations all want this to happen. We’re going to see that it happens,” he says.

Fedeli wouldn’t detail a timeline for an announcement.
