In OUA men’s hockey, Nipissing lost both of their games on the weekend.

After a 3-2 loss to Ontario Tech on Friday, the Lakers dropped a 3-2 decision to Queen’s yesterday.

In women’s hockey, Nipissing shutout Laurentian 4-0 on Saturday.

Both Nipissing basketball teams lost to Carleton and Ottawa on the weekend, while both volleyball teams lost to Guelph.

The volleyball teams’ games with Waterloo were postponed.

 

Still with varsity sports, both Canadore volleyball teams improved to 8-2 on the season with wins on the weekend.

Both Panther teams defeated Algonquin on Saturday.

In men’s basketball, Canadore lost to Humber on Saturday.

 

Back to hockey, the Powassan Voodoos find themselves in second place in the NOJHL standings this morning.

After Timmins beat Powassan 4-1 on Saturday, the Rock then defeated French River yesterday to take over as the top team in the league with 62 points.

The Voodoos are two points back with one game in hand.
