A fundraiser involving Thunder Bay’s Sleeping Giant Brewing Company is benefiting a few local groups, one beer at a time.

The #CraftCares initiative will see 50 cents from every Sleeping Giant product sold until February 14th donated to charities and organizations.

Locally the participating licensee locations and charities/organizations include:
Crown & Beaver – Nipissing Transition House
Dave’s Green Papaya – Sick Kids
Greco’s – Sick Kids
Lot 88 – North Bay Warming Centre
Moose Cookhouse – North Bay Warming Centre
Raven & Republic – North Bay Warming Centre
Station Tap House & Steak Co. – Nipissing Serenity Hospice

Last year, Sleeping Giant Brewing Company donated a grand total of $11,380 to 32 local charities and organizations, with 46 Licensees participating in Craft Cares.

Sleeping Giant is one of six members of the Northern Ontario Brewers Alliance, which also includes New Ontario Brewing Company in North Bay and Highlander Brew Company in South River.

Brewers in Sudbury, Kenora and Timmins are also included in the alliance.
