In the NOJHL, the Powassan Voodoos won their fifth straight game, dating back before the holiday break, with an 11-6 victory on home ice against Kirkland Lake Tuesday night.

Sam Ellwood scored a hat trick with Tomas Yachmenev and Ryan Mills adding two goals each in the win.

Newly re-acquired goalie Christian Cicigoi made 25 saves for Powassan.

He was picked up from the OHL’s North Bay Battalion this week.
