The North Bay Fire Department says there were no injuries in a barn fire this morning at 760 Highway 17 East.

It occurred around 10 am.

Deputy Fire Chief Greg Saunders says firefighters from Station 1 and Station 2 responded and they were able to successfully extinguish the fire very quickly.

He says some equipment was lost and fire damage to the structure were significant.

Early indications are that a wood stove was likely the cause of the fire.

BayToday says the barn contained tools and hunting equipment and there were horses on the property.
