The North Bay Battalion head into the Christmas Break on a winning note as they beat the London Knights 7-4 last night at Memorial Gardens.

The Troops got a pair of goals from Brandon Coe and Brad Chenier (pictured).

Battalion Head Coach Ryan Oulahen says they had a game plan and stuck to it.

“I thought we did a good job on the forecheck, making their D make quick plays, try to get it out of their hands, we knew the strength of their team was from their back-end. That seemed to generate offence for us,” he says.

Mitchell Russell, Paul Christopoulos and Mason Primeau also scored for the Battalion, who are back in action December 28th in Hamilton.

Joe Vrbetic stopped 33 of 37 shots, including a penalty shot in the third periods, and picked up his seventh win of the season.
