The first of three games this weekend for the North Bay Battalion was a 4-3 loss to Oshawa.

The Troops were down 4-2 in the third before closing the gap.

Head Coach Stan Butler says he doesn’t want his team to be satisfied with just staying close at the end of the game.

“Close doesn’t help, you’ve got to find ways to win these games,” he says.

Butler also says the team needed to be better defensively.

“With our young defence we struggled a bit with them driving to the net.  Two of their goals were a direct result of their guys being more physically strong than our ‘d’,” he says.

Brad Chenier, Cameron Peters and Brandon Coe scored for North Bay.

Joe Vrbetic (pictured) made 31 saves in the loss.

The Troops are back on the ice tonight in Hamilton playing the Bulldogs.
