The North Bay Fire Department says no one was injured in a structure fire this afternoon on Eugene Road.

Deputy Fire Chief Greg Saunders says they were able to contain the fire very quickly and it didn’t spread from its starting point.

“When we arrived on scene the fire had already self vented which means it was fully developed. Our guys got in there and knocked the fire down very quickly and limited the amount of damage done to the home,” he says.

He says all three fire stations attended and there’s no official cause, but there were home renovations being done.

Saunders says no one was home at the time.
