The North Bay Battalion could not find a way to contain the high powered offence of the Peterborough Petes, resulting in an 8-3 loss on Sunday afternoon. Battalion Head Coach Stan Butler says his teams effort was not up to OHL standards.

He says “you’re not going to win hockey games in this league  unless you work hard. It’s just a given that you have to be hard working. If you’re not going to work hard, you’re not going to get results.”

The Battalion were down 3-1 after the first period and 5-2 after the second, while allowing three more goals in the third.

Butler says they are in the middle of a bad stretch right now.

“It happens in sports and you have to find a way to get out of it. And usually the best way to get out of it, is by working your way through it and that’s what we need to do.”

North Bay got goals from Alex Christopoulos, Nikki Korpialho and Brad Chenier.
