The province has announced $161,000 in funding to benefit seniors in Nipissing.
MPP Vic Fedeli announced the funding this morning to help seniors stay active and socially connected, while also proventing social isolation.
Local funding includes:
– $52,726 for North Bay Golden Age Club
– $52,726 for Club Action 50+ East Ferris
– $44,879 for Mattawa Senior Citizens Club
– $10,600 for Callander Elderly Persons Centre (Royal Canadian Legion Branch 445)
Across the province, Ontario is investing $14.1 million to support more than 300 Seniors Active Living Centre programs
“Seniors Active Living Centres provide a hub for seniors and their families to build positive connections, encourage physical activity, and in doing so, benefits everyone’s well-being,” said Vic Fedeli, Member of Provincial Parliament for Nipissing.
