A 25 year old North Bay man has been charged with several offenses including unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a dangerous weapon and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Police say around 5:20 on Monday afternoon a vehicle almost collided with a pedestrian at Fisher and Oak Streets.

Police say the motorist began to swear at the pedestrian and then pointed what appeared to be a handgun at him.

Later, police located the vehicle and seized several items including a loaded 12 gauge flare gun, a black metal bb pistol, 40 live rounds of .22 gauge rounds, a quantity of suspected methamphetamine pills, a scale and numerous empty baggies.

North Bay Police have charged a 35 year old North Bay man with possession of child pornography and distributing child pornography.

Police in assistance with the Greater Sudbury Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit and Computer Forensics Unit say they executed a search warrant on Tuesday and seized several electronic devices.

A 20 year old West Nipissing man has been charged with break and enter and possession of break-in instruments.

Police say an arrest made following a break-in at a Trout Lake Road recreational facility on Monday at 2 pm.

Police say a man was observed rummaging through drawers and when approached by an employee fled the building.

Police say an arrest was made soon after.
