A trade involving the North Bay Battalion.

The Troops have added overage defenceman Nick Grima from Sarnia, with a conditional fifth round pick in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection going to the Sting.

Grima, a 20 year old from Toronto, has six goals and 46 assists in 162 games in Sarnia.

“He’s a right-shot defenceman, which we lack,” says Stan Butler, director of hockey operations and head coach, in a release.  “He has some experience playing on the right side. He’s a good puck mover and he defends well.”

The three other Battalion overagers are Captain Brad Chenier, forward Matthew Struthers and defenceman Nick King.

OHL Teams are allowed to carry four overagers between November 10th and January 9th when the number must be reduced to three.

No more than three can dress for any given game.
