The first local debate of the federal election campaign goes this afternoon (Wednesday) at Nipissing University.

The debate, which is open to the general public, goes from 2-4 pm in the Nipissing Theatre.

The Retired Teachers of Ontario, Nipissing University Student Union and Canadore Students’ Council are hosting the event.

Meantime, Country 600 CKAT is hosting an on-air debate from 8-9 am on Thursday, October 10th.

The five candidates have been invited to the session.

Text your questions for the candidates to 2-6-9-2-6-9.

NDP candidate Rob Boulet won’t be taking part in any debates with officials saying he works full-time and isn’t in the position to take a leave of absence like other candidates.
