The group that’s running the Dionne Quints Home says it’s been a good year.

Spokesperson Ed Valenti says they’re about to sign an agreement with the city to make everything official.

He says they’ve been open on weekends this year and have received plenty of visitors.

“An average of 150-200 per weekend. It spiked during Bay Days when we had over 700,” Valenti says.

Valenti  says once the agreement is signed they will manage the facility for the city.

After that he says they will negotiate an agreement with Heritage North Bay to cover any ground work.

City Councillor Chris Mayne says the city still owns the home.

“If any repairs are being done they need city approval. There are some city obligations to provide some maintenance as well as heating and hydro during the winter,” he says.

Valenti says the final weekend of the season will be September 28th-29th and they’re working on plans for a barbecue wrap up in October.
