The Special Investigations Unit says there are no reasonable grounds to lay criminal charges against an OPP officer in relation to a man’s death in Sturgeon Falls last year.

The SIU says on August 26th, 911 calls were made to police reporting that a 46-year-old man had shot a man and woman in Sturgeon Falls.

The report says West Nipissing Police Service officers responded as did Specialized OPP Teams.

The report says OPP discovered the man’s lifeless body and he had sustained a self-inflicted gun shot wound.
