A book on the Dionne Quints had its official release just a few days ago at the Callander Bay Heritage Museum.

The book The Miracle and Tragedy of the Dionne Quintuplets was penned by Michigan based author Sarah Miller.

She told BayToday her book looks at all the different sides in the story includes the Quints, their parents and the doctor who took care of them.

“There’s a lot of blame and at times blame is appropriate. But Cecile Dionne has said there are no villains in the this story. As I see it it’s a story of good intentions gone awry,” she says.

She says the surviving Quints, Annette and Cecile are very adamant that what they went through shouldn’t happen again.

Infact, Miller says the story of the Dionne Quints is still important today.

“If somebody tomorrow had 12 identical baby boys the world would lose its mind. Cecile and Annette, the surviving quintuplets are adamant that no one should go through what they went through and that exploitation shouldn’t be allowed to be repeated,” Miller says.
