North Bay’s Colton Point hopes his career takes a big jump this season.

He spent last year with Dallas’s AHL team the Texas Stars and the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads and hopes to get more playing time this year.

He played in just 20 games last season.

“I haven’t been told where I’m starting. That’s fine. I’m happy to go anywhere and play my game. You get opportunities and make the most out of them,”Point says.

Point told BayToday he has to play every game like it’s his last one.

“It could be so just have a fun year, work hard and enjoy myself on the ice,” he says.

Point says he’s been busy this summer working hard and getting stronger and hopes that’ll pay off.
