A 42 year old Cambridge male has been charged with impaired driving.

North Bay OPP laid the charge on Saturday morning after they observed a vehicle parked on the side of Highway 11 in Callander and a 9-year old child was found by police sleeping in the vehicle.
Officers approached the vehicle and observed a person slumped over the steering wheel.
They then opened the door and detected a strong odour of alcohol.

The person was arrested for care and control of motor vehicle.
The driver was brought to the North Bay OPP detachment for further testing and blew more than 3 times the legal limit.
Police say the motorist was issued a 90-day Automatic Drivers Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Meantime, two motorists, a 33 year old male from East Ferris and a 30 year old male form North Bay were charged with impaired driving in connection with vehicle rollover in East Ferris on Sunday night.

The collision caused a vehicle to flip over but some passersby then flipped the vehicle from its roof back onto its wheels.

One of the drivers was also charged with failing to report an accident.

Both motorists were issued a 90-day Automatic Drivers Licence Suspension, and the vehicles were impounded for seven days.
North Bay OPP say they have now charged 37 motorists with impaired driving this year.

Also, the West Nipissing Detachment of the OPP have charged a 28 year old Sturgeon Falls woman with possession of an opioid.
