A foot chase involving OPP and city police officers in North Bay yesterday (Thursday) has resulted in several charges for a 23 year old Scarborough man.

OPP were told about a theft of gas in Temagami and located the vehicle, which was stolen from Toronto, on McKeown Avenue in North Bay.

The driver fled on foot and was later located on Cassells Street, where he again ran away from police.

The man was located and arrested a short distance away.

He’s facing a number of charges including:
– Theft under $5,000
– Possess property obtained by crime under $5,000
– Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000 for the motor vehicle
– Flight from Peace Officer
– Drive while under suspension (three counts)

The man was held for a bail hearing in North Bay.
