The province is looking for input on proposed changes to a policy statement on a housing supply action plan.

“Seniors in Nipissing are looking to down-size and young families don’t see a path to homeownership. But there’s too much unnecessary red tape that is slowing down the creation of homes in Nipissing that people are looking for,” said MPP Vic Fedeli.

The public, municipalities, home builders, stakeholders and Indigenous communities and organizations are invited to provide input.

There are five themes to the consultation:
– supporting rural, northern and Indigenous communities
– supporting certainty and economic growth
– increasing the supply and mix of housing
– protecting the environment and public safety, and;
– reducing barriers and costs
