Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is wishing North Bay a ‘Happy Pride’.

North Bay Pride posted the video greeting to their Facebook page (below).

“Everyone should feel free to be who they are, and love who they love in Canada and around the world,” Trudeau says in the video.

He also thanks the organizers and everyone celebrating pride locally.

“You’re building a more equal Canada,” the PM states.

In another video (also below) Gateway City Brewery announced they’re releasing a collaborative beer tomorrow (Thursday).

50 cents from each can purchased at their retail store is being donated to North Bay Pride.

“It was a no brainer for us to do a beer and hopefully put a portion of those proceeds back towards the community itself to create events, fundraisers or just the Pride Festival in general,” says Sully Sullivan.

The name of the beer is ‘Real Love”.

North Bay Pride events start with a flag raising (4 pm) at City Hall and there’s a drag show tonight at the Grande Event Centre. The doors open at 7 pm.
