North Bay Battalion captain Justin Brazeau was recognized today at the OHL awards.

He received the Leo Lalonde Memorial Trophy awarded annually to the OHL’s Overage Player of the Year.

Brazeau had a record breaking year for the Troops finishing with 61 goals, an all time single season high for the franchise and 113 points, was named to the league’s first all star team and signed a two year contract with the AHL’s Toronto Marlies.

The Powassan Voodoos have named Brent Tomlinson the team’s new Associate General Manager and Director of Scouting,.

It’s a return to Powassan for Tomlinson as he was an assistant coach of the 2017 NOJHL championship team.

Meantime, head coach Max Gavin is expanding his duties.

He’s also now the assistant general manager.
