Casino construction to start this week on Pinewood Park Drive

Construction on North Bay’s casino officially begins later this week in the south end of the city.

Gateway Casinos and Entertainment says an official ground breaking ceremony is being held Friday morning, with several dignitaries to be on hand.

They include Gateway and OLG officials, Mayor Al McDonald and Nipissing MPP and Ontario Finance Minister Vic Fedeli.

Cascades Casino North Bay will be located at 300 Pinewood Park Drive.

Officials have previously said there are always variables with construction, which is expected to take 18 to 24 months.
