Air Canada says airport systems, check-in and call centres are beginning to come back online after an outage affected flights around the country.

A spokesperson say the airline still expects flight delays and cancellations, but it is trying to accommodate as many customers as possible and some will be put on flights today.

Customers are advised to check their flight status on their local airport websites.

At last check, the Jack Garland Airport website reports all flights are on time.
