Vic Fedeli disputes budget reduction at health unit

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says the budget reduction cited by the health unit is wildly inaccurate and highly irresponsible.

It’s been reported the province has reduced their budget by 27 %.

Fedeli says the province will be providing one-time funding to ensure municipalities don’t pay more than 10 per cent above last year’s amount.

He says the governments focus is front line care and is making changes to ensure that public health units are better organized, funded in a sustainable manner, and positioned to support the needs of people, families and communities.
