Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says specific boundaries of the new regional health units have not yet been finalized.

He says right now they’re in direct contact with all public health units to provide information about their modernization plan and the focus of their resources is to provide front line care.

The NDP health critic France Gelinas says the government is planning to cut the number of northern Public Health Units to two down from nine.

The NDP says the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit would be in the same unit as Nipissing, Sudbury, Algoma, Timiskaming, Porcupine and Muskoka.
