This year I have committed to having #fiftytwocoffees with fellow young professionals in our community. Once a week I have been randomly paired with someone to meet, learn, and make a new connection! The idea is to bring the young business community together and grow a stronger North Bay!

This week, I got to chat with Hannah Mackie, she’s the new Nipissing University Student Union President.

She’s currently enrolled in the business program at Nipissing after starting out in criminology and switching paths.

Hannah’s a big country music fan, she was at the Thomas Rhett concert in Ottawa just this past weekend and she’s been to Boots and Hearts every year for the past couple of years and is hoping to go back again this year.

We talked about the excitement surrounding the students about the construction of their new student centre and there are lots of big plans for what’s going to take place and how they can best use that as not just a student centre but something the community can have access to as well.

It was great to meet Hannah and chat with her!

Eleven cups down, 41 more to go!

Follow me and other young professionals in our journey over the course of the year by following the #fiftytwocoffees tag on social media platforms.
