Ecole Secondaire Publique Odyssee is hosting the OFSAA Badminton championship,

The event started Thursday.

Larry Tougas, the city’s sports tourism co-ordinator says it’s a big event.

“Close to 400 athletes, over 200 coaches and 200 parents and that’s about 800 visitors,” he says.

He says it’s an exciting competition.

“Senior boys singles, ladies singles, mixed doubles and boys and girls doubles. It’s all taking place at Canadore and Nipissing.It concludes on Saturday with all the gold and bronze medal games,” he says.
