With approval from the board this week, Canadore College is looking to add a number of new programs.

“We looked at everything from Indigenous storytelling to entrepreneurship to hotel, resort, restaurant management post-graduate certificate to genome programs, to leverage our recent announcement with a DNA lab,” Canadore President George Burton tells BayToday.

Others include Digital Visual Effects, Recording Engineering and Sports Entrepreneurship and Administration.

The college says some are unique to the north and could start this September.

The next step is to get provincial approval.

Burton also says they may be adding even more programs in the coming months.
