Fresh off being selected in the first round by the North Bay Battalion, Liam Arnsby was in the Gateway City Thursday.

A graduate of the Don Mills Flyers program, Arnsby was getting a tour of the city and the facilities by Battalion staff. He reflected on getting the call from the Battalion on draft day.

He says “it was a dream come true, all these years playing hockey and just being selected on that day was awesome. As well coming here, one of my buddies Brandon Coe is here, he lives just a couple of streets down from me so it’s good.”

Arnsby says he feels he has a lot to offer with his skill set. He says “I like to say I play a 200 foot game, I’m hard on the puck but I also can contribute to the offence I think.”

Arnsby is one of three players the Battalion chose from the Don Mills Flyers in this years draft.
