A spring opening for the new Caisse Populaire in West Ferris is still planned but it’s now expected to be early May.

That’s because officials are adding financial planning services.

“We’re so committed to investing in the community of West Ferris that we have decided to add enhanced financial planning services to what we’ll be offering the people and businesses at this end of the city,” explains Regional Manager Norm St. Amour.

“That means we’ve had to rejig our plans. We have added some offices and an entrance specifically for the financial planning services at our new location. That has added a few weeks to our targeted date for our opening, but we’re still looking forward to opening this spring,” he adds.

Seven new staff members hired because of the expansion have also completed their training.

Caisse populaire Alliance President and CEO, Pierre Dorval, says “there continues to be great feedback from the community of Ferris”.

“We are still receiving lots of positive compliments on our expansion, and many people are anxious for the doors to open. We’ve also had many businesses on Lakeshore Drive express their support for a return of financial services to the area, and we want to thank them for welcoming us,” adds Dorval.
