St Joseph-Scollard Hall has been eliminated from the OFSAA triple-A girls hockey championship in Midland as they fell 6-1 to a school from Fergus in the quarter finals.

The Bears went 2-2 overall and earlier wrapped up the round robin with a 4-2 win over a school from Lasalle to advance to the final eight.

At the OFSAA curling event being held in Sturgeon Falls and at the North Bay Granite Curling club both North Bay schools are winless.

Chippewa now 0-4 in boys after losing 8-6 to Mississauga and 9-6 to Humberside in boys action.

Widdifield is 0-3 in girls after falling 8-2 to Central Huron and 12-0 to Bishop Allen.
