The provincial government has signed an agreement with Nipissing First Nation so the Lake Nipissing fishery can be managed effectively.
The government says the agreement is for the next 3 years and will support the walleye population in the lake.
The government says the agreement establishes a strong relationship between the govenrment and Nipissing First Nation and respects the treaty rights for Nipissing First Nation to commercially fish Lake Nipissing and at the same time share data so the recovery of the walleye continues.
